I appreciate the beautiful world I live in.”— Louise Hay
This is a very important affirmation for all of us. Even though most of us are not able to completely become waste-free and eco friendly, every little bit helps. Every little bit that each of us are doing will make a difference to the earth.
Trying to look for reusable alternatives or reuse as much as we can helps.
Fixing things that are broken as much as we can helps.
Sorting our trash helps. Not everything is meant to thrown into the landfill or burned.
I believe that having a hundred people do one percent beats one person doing one hundred percent in our path towards success.
A recently divorced mother was driving her son to school encountered a burly man driving a large truck, slammed onto her horn when he didn’t move at the green light. Initially, he told her calmly that she only needed to give a courtesy tap and not a full-on slam on the horn. She was not interested in hearing anything that he was saying.
He was not pleased and he made sure she felt his anger……
Although it might seem a bit blown out of proportion for some, the man’s sudden onslaught of terror because of some honking from a mom was enough to trigger his blow up. Road rage was definitely something I would not like to encounter or be in the middle of at anytime. In the past, I have witnessed many accounts of road rage by just sitting in the passenger seat. It was horrifying to see how mad and lose control some drivers are when something didn’t go there way. It’s the worst when there were children in the car. So, watching this movie really felt real to me. Scary!
So after I finished using my heated shoulder massager, he crawled up and cuddled to the warmth of the machine. He looked so comfortable so I held my phone up to take a photo. The instant I had my camera on, he immediately looked right at me, ready for his photo.
During this time of uncertainty, many of us are feeling lost and down. It’s simpler to just dwell in the fact that we lost our jobs, or got laid off. It hurts the most when I read about many working folks despite working at their job for decades, are let go because of the pandemic.
Many of the small businesses start to appear online as time pass. As a way to adapt and support these small businesses, I start to use my social media platforms to promote them. As I also lost my job of 20 years myself also, I know how it feels. There are times that I worry about the future too. I remember the sadness that flood my mind at that point. However, deep down inside, I believe that I can trust in a higher power. I am a pragmatic person, so I always save for a rainy day as per my mother’s instructions as a child. Then, the government announces that they are giving subsidies to help us.
I am very grateful for all of this. So, despite that fact I am not able to increase my income substantially in monetary ways, I am able to increase my income of “positivity” during this time. By helping out as a volunteer and as a blogger, I am able to make a positive influence online and offline.
Not everything can be bought by money….as per Louise Hay…..Her book reminds me to continue to believe in my positive affirmations, no matter how others criticize me.
