How fortunate we were to be able to enjoy some time together on this Father’s Day!
Big gatherings weren’t allowed yet, but small ones were valued even more as restrictions were being lifted. Nothing fancy or grande, just some takeout and deliveries to share with the fathers in our lives.
I hope that all the fathers, godfathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, and uncles in the world had a great day!
I am a full time teacher and I feel like I’ve always been a maker by heart. I love creating things and dabbled into card making in my 20’s with one of my best friends. And then life happened – got married and had kids. I found my way back to crafting by fluke last spring. I actually bought a Cricut to make labels for my essential oil rollers and slowly found myself exploring other projects – t shirts, signs, doormats, totes. Slowly but surely my business gained momentum as word of mouth spread and people started to seek out my products and services. And here we are today.
2)Next, what was your background?
I’ve been an elementary school teacher now for over 20 years! Teaching mostly at the grade 4/5 level. My favorite subject to teach…Art! Haha. I’m the happiest when I am able to make or create something. I was born in Manila, Phippines. I am Chinese – Fukien. I have a younger sister. My family moved to Canada when I was 10 in 1987.
3) Some interesting facts about your product?
I’m a perfectionist and I have a strong eye for detail. I’m super picky when it comes to the quality of my products.
The name Peanut and Bud stems from my two kids. Payton is my oldest and she is Bud and Grayson is my youngest , soon to be 9 in July, he is my Peanut.
4) Finally, anything else you would like to share?
I run my business from home, while teaching full time and being a mom – crazy I know. My husband’s name is Paul and I would not be able to do what I do without his support!

This was book 4 of the series, but I thought that it could be read by itself. There was a lot of details that really highlighted the ocean depths and their surroundings in the middle of the book. The fight scenes were also quite elaborate too.
After turning thirteen, Kiki had to leave her home and live alone for one year by herself. Those were the requirements for a witch-in-training. She settled down in a city that didn’t have a witch-in-training yet. Having her black cat, Jiji, helped her to adjust to her unfamiliar surroundings. After helping the local baker to deliver a lost pacifier to a new mother who just left the bakery, the baker invited her to stay. Eventually, she decided to start a delivery service by using her broom flying skills.
Living in the city, she encountered peers who regarded her as an oddity because of how different she was…..Insecure feelings began to rise…Then one day, she couldn’t hear her cat speak nor fly anymore….
This was a story of a little girl coming of age. From a happy and excited little girl, Kiki went through a low time when she lost her abilities. Losing faith in herself affected her ability to fly.
While watching this story, one must remove their pre-existing notions of witches. Apparently, the city folks weren’t afraid of witches, but we’re surprised and intrigued by the flying.
This documentary recalled the life and works of Stanislav Szukalski, beginning from his latter times in California and backtracking into his past. For five years, his close friend Glen Bray helped him to record him telling his eccentric and imaginative tales of success and failures.
From his own invented alphabet to how he believed that Easter island was where humanity began, he was called a genius as a child to a megalomaniac as an adult.
As a fan of art, I was completely intrigued with this sculptor’s life story. Despite the failures in life and his career, he was able to work to the end at something he loved.
As I was hurrying to take the train one day, I saw this frog staring at me from the ground up. It reminded me of the cartoon character from “Frog And Toad”. It was a photo opportunity. So, I slowed down and took its photo.
Bing-Soon was born with superhuman strength. She had inherited from the maternal side of her family. Normally, she would hide her ability to avoid attention. However, one day, the owner of a video game company saw her use her strength and hired her to be his personal bodyguard.
This was definitely a romantic comedy with lots of laughs especially when she used her powers to fight evil villains! I loved that she was able to use her power for the benefit of others.
