At a recent event, the guests got to have their photos taken at this photo booth by Picme. It was a mobile set up for parties and events. Guests brought home prints and got digital files too!
It’s not the easiest each day as the world is constantly reminding us that we are lacking in beauty or gaining in size. Time is not on our side and nobody loves you…. Therefore, you must change yourself so people can love you.
Well, that’s a bit harsh, right?
To be honest, I grew up feeling that way and as an adult, sometimes, I still felt the same. It’s the toughest when others would make negative remarks, thinking they were doing you a favour.

Who Is La Dee Da?
1) When and why did you start your business?
We are Mary, Jo Anne and Marlow, The Sauce Queens! What started with sauces back in 2015 became a mission to create innovative, versatile, delicious, plant-based offerings that would make it onto the tables of every household.
2) What is the background?
The founders of La Dee Da Gourmet Sauces wanted to revolutionize not only the sauce world but the soup, jam and jelly categories. Who is Nina’s Pierogies?
1) What is your background?
I worked in a big corporations in accounting, but always felt not accomplished. Cooking, creating my recipes was always my passion. My dad, my kids are gluten and dairy intolerant, in a very strong way. I started making gluten free recipes making my flours combination. Then time came to make pierogies and after many, many mistakes I was satisfied with the dough.
I am Polish, came to Canada right after university. I attended farmers markets with my grandma every week, now I went back to my roots, going back almost every week to different farmers markets in Vancouver and loving it.
2) What is special about your products?
Every pierogi flavour is unique and has a “history” connected to the farmers’ markets. For example, I remember one late August day at the Trout Lake farmers market. There was a stand opposite of me with abundance of late summer peppers, cauliflowers, tomatoes and many different veggies. That was the day that I created Mediterranean pierogi.
3) What else do you want to share? I always think about smell of summer and beautuful colours of veggies.
This story of friendship and loyalty began at the time of political unrest during the end of the Qing Dynasty.
Chong Li Ming was part of the Imperial Qing royal family. From the start, he was determined to protect the royal family from the unfair treatment from foreign countries. He was educated abroad and was a martial arts expert.
Then, there was Ah Yi, who was a youth that Chong Li Ming saved a few times from the hands of corrupt officials. Eventually, they became great friends.
As time passed, both endured many cruel and difficult treatment from both Qing and foreign officials.
Conclusion
I enjoy watching historical dramas. The fight scenes were very cool! Emotional scenes made me tear up too…
I started baking since I was a child. It was my granny’s way to show us her love and a great activity that brought together the woman in my family.
For me, baking is love. That’s why I try to make my baking account a happy, cute, full of serotonin place haha. It’s my hobby and a project that gives me happiness so I want to share that.
3) What is special about your products?
I create the designs for my food. Sometimes they are my own characters and sometimes they are popular characters but interpreted in my style.
I have a characteristic way to do the eyes! I always use dot eyes with a shine in them.
4) What else do you want to share?
My main source of inspiration for my designs is the japanese kawaii aesthetic. I also search for inspiration in my favorite cartoons, pop culture, illustrators (females IG ilustrators 💕 from arround the globe). I find inspiration in mexican and japanese baked goods (conchas, melon pan, milk bread, rosca de reyes, etc).
