Libby lost the job that she loved to her now ex-husband‘s girlfriend. In order to rebuild her life, she packed her bags and moved back to her little hometown. She decided to apply to work in the town’s museum, which was similar to her old job in the big city.
She decided to stay at the local bed and breakfast before she could find a place to stay. During her stay, money from the cash register disappeared from the gift shop. Libby decided to help find the burglar!
This was a sweet short story about how after a betrayal and disappointment, one person literally picked herself up and moved on.
Nothing was going Kate’s way. Her fiancé had cheated and left her before the wedding. Her boss didn’t appreciate her work and even forced her to demote herself. Life was not good at all.
Then, one day, as she fell off the ladder and landed on her back right in front of a very important client, she knew it was over. She truly embarrassed herself and the company. Little did she know, it was her constant chaos that sparked something inside of him.
Kate was definitely a character many could relate to….How many times had you felt that life was disaster and that nothing was going your way? This romance story also mentioned about being overlooked and taken advantage of in one’s career.
This was a sweet story about how one turned their life around by being themselves and not the society norm.
Leaving the big city to a small town for a job at a book store would seem a bit odd for many, but not to Becca. Her dream was to run the town’s bookstore and to put it online. The store had potential!
However, things went sideways once she discovered that she had to share a train ride with an annoyingly handsome gentleman. Then she discovered that he was after the same position! Afterwards, she missed the last train and needed a place to stay the night….. The stranger offered to share his suite out of convenience. Becca was suspicious, so he FaceTimed his own sister to convince Becca that he was not a criminal…? Why was he so nice to her?
This was such a sweet and sometimes steamy cozy novella. I really liked it as a quick read that warmed the heart.

When the accident happened at the wedding, she was very intrigued. Incidentally, weird things were also happening all over the town. How are these related?
This images I had while reading this story was quite funny!
As a child, I grew up with the traditional Christmas song “The Twelve Days Of Christmas”. This song made me question what a turtle dove was, a French hen, why ladies were dancing….I couldn’t relate these images as a Canadian.
Introducing the new Canadian version, “A Moose In A Maple Tree” by Troy Townsin. With its colourful illustrations and fun lyrics, this book would make a great Christmas gift!
Christie Watson was a Boston homicide detective who was forced to take a sabbatical because she had pushed a witness too much… So she decided to go back to her hometown and maybe… look for the murderer who took her mother from her years ago? She wanted to solved this…
Luckily, her best friend that owned the local burger joint invited her to stay at her apartment instead of the motel. In return, Christie had to work at the burger joint. This season, the spicy Fiesta was a hit with the townsfolk and Christie! All, but one overly verbal man….after causing a bit of a ruckus at the restaurant, was found dead at her best friend’s backyard!
Naturally, Christie was on the case! Until the local attractive detective arrived…..
I enjoyed this story of mystery and a bit of romance. A quick read that was entertaining.
Growing up, I loved to read about local monster legends!
Meet The Author
1) Why and when did you start your business?
I have always been a writer but I published my first kids book (A Moose in a Maple Tree – The All-Canadian 12 Days if Christmas ) back in 2007. It really took off and we hit #5 on the Canadian best sellers list. So every year since then I have added something new.
2) What was your background?
My background is diverse – I started in kids theatre. I have also worked for the UN and have been a food and wine columnist for CBC radio.
3) Some interesting facts about your product?
My first kids book was written to celebrate me becoming a Canadian citizen. I love to include Canadiana in my books and to celebrate everything Canada. I love writing books that kids WANT to read and enjoy. Reading for kids should be fun.
4) Finally, anything else you would like to share?
My Christmas books all have fun youtube videos that can accompany them. My Canadian monster club series is a collection of fun monster stories and each monster featured is based off of a real Canadian monster legend. These picture books are fun for ages 3-9.
Shannon Jacoby was a mystery shopper. When she found herself inside the men’s bathroom, fishing her cellphone out of the toilet, she was horrified to see a tall and handsome guy in an expensive suit watching her. She had to think of the worst explanation to explain her existence in this men’s bathroom. Shannon couldn’t blow her cover like this!
This was a heart warming and fun story! I enjoyed the verbal interactions between the protagonist and her dream guy. Delightful read!
The Night Manager of the Hotel was a gracious and courteous hostess to the variety of monsters and night crawlers, who were invited by the Hotel. Some were more angelic, but others were horrific creatures in their true form.
Why were they invited? Why were there humans in this fantastic and horrifying hotel?
This novel was written by many authors. At first, it was very intriguing and interesting. Near the end, I was a bit confused about why everyone was invited to resolve the issue. I would like to know more about the history of the hotel though.
At a party, Maurizio Gucci of the Gucci Fashion House met Patrizia Reggiani, the daughter of a truck company owner. Patrizia was ambitious. She was thirsty for power and money. After she married Maurizio, she became increasingly involved in the business. She became so involved that it slowly became an issue in the family….
