Mia and her son, Raphael travelled to Colorado mountains for a trip and stayed at an Airbnb that was owned by an avid art collector. Mia was thoroughly educated in art history, so she was pleased and impressed at his collection.
One day, she and her son left to purchase some daily needs. When they came back, the house was on fire and they were suspects to the murder of the owner!
This was an exciting read that I had a hard time putting down! I just had to find out who killed the owner.
Sara Donovan landed a job at the Carlton museum organizing previous documents and journals. One day, the precious gems exhibit, Fire & Ice, arrived at the Carlton as their original location was not available. With the high level of security, everything was safe. Then the lights went out and came back on after a few minutes. The security checked and all appeared well.
But, why was Sara’s dog yelping at the safe?
Then, Sara noticed that a few journals were missing from the inventory….
Being at the wrong place at the wrong time was all I could think about whenever Sara got into trouble. The ending was very logical and I liked treasure stories.
Marie knew that something was happening in the small town. She was a famous author of the latest book that dabbled in the supernatural. Not everyone was a fan of her book, especially her mother and her sisters.
More and more deaths began to appear in this small town. Marie knew she had to do something….
This was only part one of the story “Infestation” so I had many questions that needed an answer. Not sure why it was split into two books?
The sun elves won and enslaved the human race. The Blood Lottery invited all humans who turned eighteen years old to enter. If they were chosen, they would become the mistress or even a wife of a sun elf. That would mean that they could leave a life of desolation and poverty. This was how the sun elves tried to outbred the human race.
Ava was working on the Wall to support her mother and sister. As a child, she was stared at for her silver hair. How odd it was for a human…. She was going to turn eighteen, but she was determined not to enter the Blood Lottery. She would rather work hard on building the Wall.
Then, she fell off of the Wall and met the most mesmerizing eyes of the Prince….
This was a fantasy story that involved elves, wyverns (dragon) and magic. By the end of the story, I really wanted to find out what happened to the protagonist.
Quinn left her mother and sister for a school teacher post in the wilderness of Emerson Pass in the mountains. Actually, the previous gold mining town was burnt down and a generous Lord from England rebuilt it.
She was accustomed to being poor and living in shame. Being in the presence of luxury beyond her dreams was a blessing. Quinn was moved by the Lord’s five children. And he was so handsome….
I enjoyed historical novels. This one spoke of the prejudices of races in the gold mining days. I became quite emotional as I was reading this novel.
Sara was college freshman studying Egyptology. She was working in the Egyptian museum’s gift shop one day when she accidentally spilled some nail polish remover on a souvenir funeral mask. She tried to wipe it off and saw something gold underneath the cheap plastic paint…. Gold??
Against her better judgment, she began following people around the campus as she suspected that they were involved in some criminal scheme. Her best friend and family warned her that she got into trouble many times because of her overactive imagination.
However, she was determined to find out what was going on!
This was a lovely and fun read! I like the idea of adding Egyptian elements to this cozy.
