Vendor Feature: Time Escape

Escape rooms have definitely taken a hold of my imagination and creativity as I try to solve the problems. It’s nice that they actually give some clues… But, still I rarely am successful. This is such a great way to train for teamwork!

Who is Time Escape?

1) Why and when did you start your business?

I started this business in 2013. When I first played an escape room, I was hooked and loved the challenge with solving puzzles.

2) What was your background?

I majored in economics, but with a work background in event management.

3) What is special about your business?

I’ve always been hands on and wanted to elevate each escape room production to the next level. Ultimately, we are still trying to do each time.

4) Finally, what would you like to share?

In the near future, all Time Escape themes will eliminate all padlocks. Therefore, they will be fully electrical and mechanical.

Book Review: Death Mask

Summary

Mia and her son, Raphael travelled to Colorado mountains for a trip and stayed at an Airbnb that was owned by an avid art collector. Mia was thoroughly educated in art history, so she was pleased and impressed at his collection.

One day, she and her son left to purchase some daily needs. When they came back, the house was on fire and they were suspects to the murder of the owner!

What happened???

Conclusion

This was an exciting read that I had a hard time putting down! I just had to find out who killed the owner.

Disney+ Series: Ms. Marvel

Summary

Kamala Khan was the daughter of Muslim immigrant parents who wanted their daughter to do well in school. However, Kampala’s goal was to be a super hero like Captain Marvel!

Through certain incidents, she gained superpowers and learned to use them to change things around in the world!

Conclusion

Overall, I was excited to see the Muslim community represented in the series. The story was engaging. However, I discovered (after reading a bit more into the original storyline of Ms. Marvel), that this series did not follow how she got her powers…. My tween loved it! Great to watch with young ones.

Movie Review: Uncharted

Summary

Sam and Nate was living in an orphanage when older brother Sam got kicked out for stealing again. This time was an antique map of the ship, Magellan. This ship was rumoured to carry a huge amount of gold when it disappeared. After Sam left, he never came back for Nate. He only sent him the occasional postcards.

After 15 years, Nate bumped into Sully, who was watching him at his bartending job. He told Nate that he had a big job that needed Nate’s quick fingers.

Why did Sully know about Nate’s preferences and habits?

Conclusion

I love treasure hunting movies. The story line was a bit predictable. The movie was based on a video game. I really enjoyed watching Tom Holland’s action scenes.

Book Review: Fire & Ice

Summary

Sara Donovan landed a job at the Carlton museum organizing previous documents and journals. One day, the precious gems exhibit, Fire & Ice, arrived at the Carlton as their original location was not available. With the high level of security, everything was safe. Then the lights went out and came back on after a few minutes. The security checked and all appeared well.

But, why was Sara’s dog yelping at the safe?

Then, Sara noticed that a few journals were missing from the inventory….

Conclusion

Being at the wrong place at the wrong time was all I could think about whenever Sara got into trouble. The ending was very logical and I liked treasure stories.
